Kicking It At the Carnival

By Rebecca Bryson
On July 24th, 2018, PCCers were taken to the field for the annual Carnival! Second-years were ecstatic and anticipating everything that would happen at the carnival, and First-years were excited and didn’t know what to expect. The field was littered with fun activities including face paint, an obstacle course, a dunk tank, snow cones, cotton candy, and a slip and slide.

Everyone was enjoying themselves and having loads of fun. The line for the blow up slip and slide seemed to be half a mile long, but it was definitely worth it. Students got a head start running and jumped into the icy cold water of the slide. Then, you could take a trip over to the obstacle course. PCCers had to spin around with a pool noodle on their head and then jump into a kiddie pool. You then have the gain the coordination to run with a ball behind your head. Near the end, students had to muster up the energy to jump rope and throw a hula hoop. PCC student Eoin Gallagher describes the course as “fun and surprisingly challenging!”

If you don’t feel like getting wet, you can play a competitive game of cornhole or watch your favorite proctors get dunked in a dunk tank. No matter what you like to do, the carnival will be fun for you! Just let loose and have a blast. This event really makes PCC even better than it already is.
