YOU DIDN'T EVER SEE A SHOW LIKE THIS
by Zayn Morrison and James Molito
Yesterday marked the M&M summertime spectacle at West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School. Students were packed like sardines as the buses went to and fro to pick up students and drop them off. With everyone crowded into the school auditorium, the lights went down and the tunes came up. The cast started off the night by dancing to "Stand by Me" by Florence & the Machine. Next the cast came together for an ominous display accompanied by Billie Eilishes' "Bury a Friend." Sarah Bonefant and Hailey Devery followed that up by dancing to "BFF" from "Spongbob Squarepants the Musical." The class then came together as one big happy family performing "We Go Together" by I Heart Homework. Everyone was there for each other as they danced to "I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrandts.
Next up, Gabriella Rojas strutted her stuff as she danced to "If My Friends Could See Me Now" by Sweet Charity. As the show reached the halfway point, the cast stood together, joyously singing "I Stand By You" by the Pretenders in tandem. The M&M superstar Alex Parent was then left solo to perform "Sonya Alone" from the Comet of 1812. As the song finished, students came back down to "the bottom of the river" to dance to a Delta Rae classic. Sarah Bonefant then burned the house down as she sang "Burn" from Hamilton the Musical. The cast then granted the audience a wish by dancing to "Friend Like Me" sung by Will Smith int he 2019 movie "Aladdin." While the night came to a close, the crowd celebrated the class's dedication to the show as the Queen classic "You're My Best Friend" played and M&M took their bows.
