Julian’s Journey: PCC Alum Educates About Equality

No matter who you are, you will always be accepted at PCC. Last night in the Pettit Atrium, former PCC student and proctor Julian Concannon spoke about his journey as a trans man, and discussed other genders, straight allies, and other LGBTQ+ topics.
Julian educated the students about the definitions of agender, cisgender, bigender, and transgender. He also talked about proper use of correct names and pronouns and how much they mean to people.
Students were very respectful as Julian presented more about gender identity. At the end of the presentation, Mr. Concannon took questions and even learned a bit about gender identity himself. At the end of the presentation, Ms. Martin and Ms. Howell present Julian with an official PCC 2018 T-shirt. Both proctors and students came out more educated and open-minded than they came in.
