Having a Ball in the Hall

by Sophie Nelson

In Boland, Sheehan, and O’Hara Halls, once a week, every hall comes together for hall bonding. The bonding can range from painting rocks to eating pizza. Hall parties are a great time to get to know your hall and have fun at PCC 2018!

Each week every student is asked to bring in $5 for the hall party. All of the proctors collect the money and are responsible to buy supplies for their event. Not every hall will have the same activity and that makes the party interesting. The themes of the hall parties are voted on by the hall itself, and they can vary a lot.

Hall parties give you a chance to make friends within your hall while relaxing. They are an open space to talk and get creative.

During Week 2, almost every hall painted bricks to keep their dorm rooms open. After Week 2, proctors step their game up and start to do crazy hall parties. Some examples of hall parties that people have done are an ice cream party, karaoke, pizza party, and slime making. In the future, some parties may be Christmas in July, painting, and many more.

Hall parties are one of the amazing parts of PCC. They let you bond and relax in your own living space.
