PCC's 50th SUMMER HAS GOT TALENT
Thursday, the 2nd day of August we saw an awesome talent show with some really really cool acts! The talent show was for students to show us their amazing talents. We saw the best of the best because they had auditions. Too bad we couldn’t see everybody but this was so much fun.
The Talent Show was themed Disney Channel, however, all the music they were playing when everybody came in and got a seat was from Nickelodeon. They did do a Disney Channel related opening which was good.
Before we got to see some great acts from PCC students we saw a chicken horror movie. It was hilarious and definitely very horrifying. The movie was starred and directed by PCC students and I hear there is a part two coming out soon…
Another clip that made everybody laugh was the ‘Proctors Read Mean Tweets’ short movie. Proctors would read mean tweets about themselves which for the audience were hilarious.
Mr. Cavagnaro’s tweet for example was “Mr. Cavagnaro is so short because his tight pants cut off his circulation.” Funny, right? There were more tweets like that, and they were wicked funny.
Back on track to the actual topic, the PCC talent show! I was so psyched for this. This evening was so much fun and the variety of acts was fantastic.
The show kicked off with the ASL class signing “I Want It That Way.” It was so cool to see how easy they made all the different signs look. Besides signing we had some super dancers perform some really fantastic dances for us! We also had singer/songwriters who wrote a song about PCC and a broken heart. Both really touching but at the same time also so good! There were also two singers who sang songs from “Moana” and “Dear Evan Hanson,” as well as a band who played “Let Her Go” by Passenger.
Memorizing was a part of the talent show as well. One kid memorized all the states and capitals and another kid memorized all the Top 100 hits of 2017. If you gave him a number he could name the song and the artist who held that position on the Top 100. Other performers included two dancers, a baton twirler, and a girl who performed a monologue. Overall the Talent Show of PCC 2017 was one to remember, and commemorate the 50th summer.
