JENNA CARSON, SIGNING OFF

Thank you. A simple phrase that doesn’t even come close to explaining how grateful I am to have met so many wonderful people at a summer camp I didn’t even really want to go to in the beginning. Week one, all I wanted to do was go home. I missed my bed, and my family; but now that it’s over, going home is the last thing I want to do. Now, instead of missing my bed at home  and my family, I’m going to miss my bed in my dorm, and the family I’ve acquired here at PCC; because that's what we are- a family. I want to give a special thank you to my Journalism class. You are the reason I get out of bed in the morning.

I’m not the best at sharing my feelings, but I feel like there are people who deserve to know how much they mean to me. Ms. Brainard, even though I make fun of you a lot for not giving your hall ice cream cake, this class would not have been the same without you. Your bubbly attitude and child-like sense of humor is refreshing. Shaeleigh “Eugenia” Madan, you annoy me to no end; but honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better friend. Your level of maturity sometimes makes me forget that you’re still just a baby; but I love you a lot. Ciara Lonergan, my tallest friend; I have really enjoyed your company. I love spending every morning with you and hearing funny stories about your family. I love dancing with you at the Thursday night dances and singing until our throats are sore. Mr. Tressel, on of the best teachers I’ve ever had the pleasure of having. I was a lot to handle at times, and I know I have very strong opinions, but you let me share them without judgment. I felt like I could be myself in this class. I’d like to thank the friends I had in my room every Wednesday, and the ones from Benaglia who I didn’t see often enough.

But this isn’t the end. The friends you make here will be your friends forever. Don’t think of this as a goodbye; but a see you later.

This is Jenna from Journalism, signing off.
