PCC SUMMER BIRTHDAYS

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you!! Do you have a summer birthday? Well, Shaeleigh does. I’m here to give everyone a glimpse into what having a PCC summer birthday is all about.

Let's start off with the basics. On Monday, we had our hall party which was my birthday party. I would also like to clarify that my actual birthday is Friday, July 28. The party was so much fun and my proctor Ms. Cleary really went all out with everything. There was an ice cream cake, ice cream, a pinata, and a disco ball. After they sang Happy Birthday and I blew out my imaginary candle, it was time to smash the pinata! Luckily it was filled with one of my favorite candies: Starbursts.

Then it was dance time! My friend brought her radio so she played music that everyone in my hall danced to. We turned all of the lights off and put the disco ball in the center of the room so that we could actually see where we were dancing. As we jammed out to some old Taylor Swift and current songs, we were standing on tables and chairs. Eventually, it was phone time and we had to end the party.

Everyone in my hall was so wonderful and happy to celebrate my birthday. As the weeks go on, we have gotten closer and for some of us in my hall, this is their last year at PCC. At first I was a little sad that I couldn’t celebrate my birthday with my family. However, since my hall is so close, I felt like I was celebrating with my actual family. I can’t wait for my birthday next summer and to celebrate it with my hall next year.
