A CHINESE PERSPECTIVE ON PCC

by Martin, a visiting Boston Wise student

I come from China and I can speak a few English words. Though I have learned it in China, I do not know many words. I always try to translate what you say into Chinese, so I may need some time to understand your meaning. I came to the United States three days ago. We went to the US capitol. The White House looks well.

My hometown has a famous place to visit which is called Red Flag River .I don’t know what it is called in America. It is one of the seven greatest wonders, the same as The Great Wall.

The teenagers in America are very friendly. The first day I arrived here I got to know that. I wonder what Americans think of China. In our country, as you know, the newspaper belong to the government, so we only get the good side of our country. I am sure that everything has two sides. That is why I came here: I want to see our country in an another way.

I want to improve my English in these days; that is also a reason why I am here. It is easier for almost all Chinese students to write and read, because it is connected with our college entrance examination. The movie which was played at evening seemed very interesting judging from the laughter. But for most students from China, it was difficult to understand.

The environment here is very beautiful. If I have the time, I will explore it.
The food here is great, though it is hard to know what it is. Many times, we don’t know what we are eating, but it tastes delicious.

There were still many great moments beyond words, because of my poor vocabulary. I can’t find words which are suitable to describe my feelings. As far as I can tell I have fallen in love with PCC. I am looking forwards to the days we will spend together.
