MS. BRAINARD, SIGNING OFF
Journalism and Publishing has been such a big part of my first summer here on staff! As a student, I took the class, but the girls on Young Voices 2017 have passed any and all expectations I had coming into this summer. It’s been an honor to watch them all grow as writers, reporters, but most importantly, people. Ciara, you’re natural ability for writing and reporting is amazing, and your passion inspiring. Jenna, you’re witty opinions made my day, and I’m so proud of the strong voice you’ve developed this summer. Shaeleigh, watching you come out of your shell this summer has inspired me to be more outgoing and push out of my comfort zone. To Mr. Tressel, thank you for being a great Master Teacher! Not only have I witnessed the students expand their horizons, I’ve also learned so much from your instruction. To Anna, if you’re reading this, our time together was too short, but you made the most of it. I’m in awe of your English abilities, and you’ve taught me to always work hard to achieve success. Martin, I know we didn’t really get the opportunity to communicate while you were visiting us from China, but your article touched me, and I hope you enjoyed your time with us. Special thanks to Mr. Cavagnaro and Ms. Matthews for their help with the yearbook. I loved becoming part of your Photo Fam and all your visits into our class, couldn’t have kept ratio without you! Big thank you to Mr. Kaliff for delivering my Morning Announcements every day! Shoutout to the Harry Potter Class for their daily notes and wizard puns, they always made my morning a little bit more magical! Last, but not least, Jason Dole. Even if you were only in class for a week, you’ve left an impact on us all… meaning you set the tone for all the students to emotionally harass and roast me daily, but I actually wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s been a fun summer overall, and I’m so fortunate that my Journalism and Publishing memories will live on through my yearbook. Being a part of the PCC legacy as a maker of the 50th year book is such an honor!
Thank you again!
