Tie-Dye Tuesdays Bring Color to PCC

By Sophie Nelson

PCC 2018 always has traditions and Tie-Dye Tuesday is included in the traditions. On the quad at REC every Monday there is a proctor doing Tie-Dye Tuesday.

Yesterday at outdoor REC at 2:30 the three colors that were used for tie-dye were pink, blue, and yellow. Some crazy white items were used for tie-dye were: shorts, shirts, sweatshirts, a pillowcase, and a bunch of people were tie-dyeing. Over fifteen kids were tie-dyeing and it was an amazing time. Ms. Tonucci was the proctor in charge, and she was very helpful. Not everyone knew how to tie-dye and other students helped each other.

Ms. Martin visited the tie-dyeing station to admire all the art. Once people finished their creations they either took them to the dorms or left them on the Quad. At the dorms everyone left their items on the lawn in front for others to admire. When people went to get their designs at the end of the night they were still wet. Everyone hung their shirts up to dry and thankfully they were dry by the morning.

On Tuesday everyone wears their tie-dyed creation for the day. It’s a trend and they do it every week. Tie-dye Tuesday is iconic and a colorful way to create lasting PCC memories.
