Dancing to a Different Beat at the M&M Show

By Eoin Gallagher and Sophia Kyranos

Yesterday in the Oliver Ames Auditorium, PCC students and staff got prepared to watch the PCC 2018 Music and Movement show for Core Course. The show was directed by Master Teacher Ms. Hailee Martin and assistant directed by proctor-intern Ms. Kayla Tonucci.

To get to the auditorium, students had to sign in and take a bus. Once they arrived, students stayed outside the Oliver Ames High School and used that as Quad Time. When they entered the building, students put their bags in the gymnasium, and headed into the auditorium to find a seat.

The show started off with the cast performing a routine to “Heavy in Your Arms” by Florence + the Machine. The performance even featured Samantha Collier and Kristina Waegemann singing “For Forever” from the “Dear Evan Hansen” musical. Anna Trott even sang an astonishing solo to the song “Never Enough” from the “Greatest Showman” soundtrack. The set list of eleven numbers included dances to songs like “Dance Dance” by FallOut Boy, “Beautiful Creatures” from the soundtrack of Rio 2. Eventually they concluded with a curtain call to “Conga” by Gloria Estefan.

Overall, the whole production was unforgettable with amazing performers. It was a program favorite that will go down in history.
