"Do You Know What That's Worth?" PCC Shows Its Stuff on Family Visiting Day
The students of Journalism showcasing their dance moves for FVD

Friday August 3rd was Family Visiting Day at PCC, where PCC students brought family and friends to taste the magic of PCC. Students and their families met on the quad before heading to their classes, where Master Teachers presented a mini-demonstration of what they have done over the past six weeks.
In Journalism class, students put their interviewing skills to the test and interviewed their parents. Some of the questions included why they decided to send their students to PCC. Some of the parents attended PCC in the past and wanted their kids to have the same great experience. One parent had been accepted to PCC but did not end up going at the last minute, and wanted her student to have the opportunity she had missed. Through these interviews, the class also discovered new things about their fellow students. Family Visiting Day ended with a viewing of Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” music video--the Journalism class’ theme song--complete with an interpretive dance show.
Family Visiting Day is a good way for parents to see what their child is up to during the six weeks of the program. Both the students and the parents love it and it is a great way to showcase PCC.
