Ms. Richards' PST
by Eoin Gallagher
Last Thursday on the last day of PSTs, Ms. Richards held a PST about service trips. In the beginning, she described to us what service trips are: a trip to physically help or to shed light on things that need to be fixed.
Then she told us about the mission trips that she has undertaken. Her first mission trip, to Costa Rica, she helped build a building’s foundation. She mixed concrete by hand! She told us how great it felt to see the difference they made in the community.
After that, she taught us about her most recent service trip during spring break to Baltimore, MD. While in Baltimore, she visited several charities, and helped out around the community. This trip was organized by her university.
After describing her trips, she gave us resources to plan our own mission trips. She gave us some candy, answered our questions, and ended the PST, like many others, by showing vines.
